Summit Finance was recommended to me by my local Financial Advisor (who dealt in Wills and investments, but not mortgages). After my initial contact in July15, an advisor conducted a convenient home visit shortly afterwards and began to work on the case. Unfortunately, the advisor left the company a few weeks later, which resulted in his work having to be covered by the remaining staff. Sadly, this caused a virtual standstill, with no further progress for several weeks.After speaking with the director Tina, it was clear that the business was really struggling with the workload, whilst also trying to recruit a replacement. I considered walking away and starting again with a new mortgage advisor, but because we had already got a certain way down the road with Summit, I decided to sit tight and wait for Tina to get back on top of the workload.I am glad that I did. Whilst we did loose several weeks, the quality of service provided by Tina has been excellent. Due to our purchase chain collapsing 3 times (not due to myself or Tina!), it has taken 11months to complete the purchase. Throughout the process, Tina has been really patient and understanding during such a stressful time. She has supported me through the process, often providing advice and guidance outside of her normal remit.In summary, Tina has consistently and tirelessly gone above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. I will definitely be using Summit again in the future and I would unhesitatingly recommend them to anyone looking for a decent, honest, hardworking mortgage advisor.
