Dropped in after failed attempt to get into nice but ridiculously busy Mainsgill farm shop/restaurant 5 mins along A66. And was rewarded by a very nice Sunday lunch carvery without the queues. Nice fresh decor too.

We have just had the Christmas fayre meal at the farm and it was delicious. I would recommend it to everyone. Excellent.
Much improved . Cafe & shop located in a lovely new building . Nice terrace to eat or drink prices as you would expect but not over the top. Animal rescue centre & a reclamation barn to wander around, & also nice countrywalks.to stretch the wary legs! Great place to break up a journey and as it's located on a dual carriageway section of the A66 a lot easier to get out of unlike other places on "route 66"
